Borrow from another library

Our library is connected to other libraries throughout the state and nation. If you can't find an item in this library, ask library staff to help you get it from another library.

At the Hamann Memorial Library we buy books and materials we think are most wanted by our patrons.  Because we simply can’t buy everything in print, we may be able to locate materials from other libraries. This is called Interlibrary Loan.  Our library is part of a network of participating libraries that are willing to loan out materials to other libraries.

You must have a Hamann Memorial Library card in order to request an interlibrary loan.  Most items are delivered to the library in 4-10 days and the lending period may vary according to the policy of the lending library.

There is a fee of $2.00 to offset the cost of postage.  The fee is due when the item is picked up.  The patron has 3 days from notification of material arrival to pick up the materials.  If a patron chooses not to pick up their requested materials they will still be charged the postage fee.
